This Country, This England
Alerted by David's post I have just noticed that the Department of Children, Schools and Families has made a small, but no doubt politically motivated, alteration to their website.
Their mission statement has changed from this (my bold):
"The purpose of the Department for Children, Schools and Families is to make England the best place in the world for children and young people to grow up."
To this:
"The purpose of the Department for Children, Schools and Families is to make this the best place in the world for children and young people to grow up."
A Freedom of Information Request is winging its way to them as I type.

Proof, if proof be needed,how "THEY" are trying to erase the very name of England.
I bet the person who wrote the first statement with England on it, got a good slap .

It's so non-specific -
It's so non-specific - "cleansing" England from the mission statement makes the whole thing a bit of nonsense. There is nowhere called "this".
